Opening Night

One of the most anticipated events on Sydney’s cultural calendar – Opening Night Presented by Glenfiddich. Celebrations transform the fair into an immersive, all-encompassing night of art, music, performance and food.

Thursday 8 September, 5.30 – 9pm
Celebrate Australasia’s diverse and thriving art community!

Opening Night, presented by Glenfiddich, will feature performances by Performance Contemporary artists WeiZen Ho and Rakini Devi, along with new work by Justene Williams titled She predicted the weather (2022). Featuring three performative boat sculptures with colourfully painted sails that will be rocked and swung by singing performers in sculptural weather-inspired costumes, the piece will move through the Fair.
