Artist Talk: Antonia Mrljak

“Join Antonia Perricone-Mrljak to discuss her latest body of work at Sydney Contemporary 2025.
The daughter of Italian immigrants to Australia, Antonia’s background has defined her sense of identity and underpins all aspects of her artistic process.
For Antonia, memory and mark-making have a symbiotic relationship, and are each connected not only on the canvas in the present, but from the human and environmental influences of the past.
“”The whole of our actions and desires are bound up with the existence of other human beings“ she states. “”My works are a culmination of all that has gone before me and all that comes after.
