MA Art Prize

The MA Art Prize celebrates and supports emerging and early career artists in Australia.

The MA Art Prize is an acquisitive prize valued at $15,000 that will be awarded to one emerging or early career artist showcasing new work with a gallery at Sydney Contemporary 2025. As the Principal Partner of Sydney Contemporary, Australasia’s premier art event, MA Financial Group launched the Prize in 2023 to elevate works by emerging and early career artists in the context of an established fair. The winning artist will be announced during the opening on 10 September 2025.

“At MA Financial we believe a vibrant arts community is a vital part of our dynamic culture, and we are proud to support artists by providing a platform to exhibit their work and connect with a wider audience. Now in its third year the MA Art Prize aims to shine a light on the depth of talent within Australia’s contemporary art scene, and play a meaningful role in helping artists realise their potential and progress in their professional journey.”
