REDBASE Art is based in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. We are cross-cultural sites that envision the changing ideas about contemporary art in Asia and Australia. With a focus on Chinese, Indonesian, and Asian-Australian artists, REDBASE distinguishes itself by providing exposure to the next collective zeitgeist in a reimagined gallery context.
REDBASE Yogyakarta Foundation was established in 2014. It is a respected space for Indonesian contemporary art that boasts a rich history of hosting comprehensive cultural programs and exhibitions. The Foundation significantly contributes to the professional growth of numerous Indonesian and international artists through artist residencies and award programs.
For thirty seven years, the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery has been a pioneer of international contemporary art, bringing together emerging and established artists from across the world under the key values of innovation, individuality and excellence. As the first art gallery in Europe to exhibit Indigenous Australian painting, we remain committed to championing and providing an international platform for Indigenous and non-European artists. Annual ‘Songlines’ summer exhibitions celebrate this longstanding connection with Indigenous Australian communities, previously featuring Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Emily Kam Kngwarray and Jimmy Pike. Rebecca Hossack has also curated important exhibitions of work from the Bushmen of the Kalahari, from Papua New Guinea, and from tribal India, much of which would otherwise not have been seen in the UK. Since the gallery’s founding, however, the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery has expanded to encompass a spectrum of international and British art, united through a shared spirit of inventiveness, experimentation and technical excellence. Resisting definitive categorisation, the Rebecca Hossack Gallery continues to advocate for diversity and inclusion in all fields of artistic expression.The Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery also collaborates regularly with public institutions and museums, with works acquired by the British Museum, Barbican Centre, National Gallery of Australia, Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art, Bristol City Art Gallery, Harrogate Art Gallery, Horniman Museum, Leicester City Art Galleries, and the de Young Museum, San Francisco.
Founded in 2012, PIERMARQ* is an art gallery located in Surry Hills, Sydney, exhibiting the forefront of international and Australian contemporary art.
PIERMARQ* takes pride in fostering a global network of artists who support each other with practical advice and creative opportunities.
In 2022, PIERMARQ* opened a project space adjacent to the main exhibition space. PIERMARQ*Projects presents quarterly exhibitions in a 75m2 space with an adaptable structure focused on developing cutting-edge and conceptual exhibitions to support young, emerging artists and aspiring curators living and working in Australia.
PAULNACHE brushes aside all the rules and formalities that come with being a contemporary dealer gallery in Aotearoa New Zealand. Operating since 2009 the Gallery has set its own course and proposed a new model for the dealer gallery, blurring the lines between public and private gallery, between dealer and curator, house style and punk attitude. It offers less a consumable list or stable of artists than a family or community of artist /collaborators who come together and work with Nache to each extend their own practice, whilst contributing to the greater whole which is the unrelenting forward momentum of this Gallery.
Refusing to join the crowd and rejecting the received wisdom that says galleries belong in the big cities, PAULNACHE operates out of the coastal town of Gisborne, on the East Coast of Aotearoa’s North Island. Gisborne provides PAULNACHE with more than just its physical base – a gallery in a refurbished building on the city’s main street. At a time when many galleries claimed noncommittally to ‘be based’ in a particular location, PAULNACHE draws its energies and ambitions from this city, and offers much in return. Committed to the local as well as the national, PAULNACHE has built a passionate community for contemporary art in Gisborne, and beyond.
PAULNACHE may be rooted in Gisborne, but reaches much further. Regularly launching out from its physical base, the Gallery is renown for its innovative and often subversive presence at art fairs and projects. It supports exhibitions of its artists in other cities and countries, particularly Australia, which ensures that new thinking and context on and around its artists is always present.
Working on a network model, drawing on connections to identify opportunities and make things happen quickly, the PAULNACHE Gallery has established a reputation for dynamic and creative solutions in the presentation of its stable of artists, many of whom have substantial practices that are not recognised by the dominant narratives of art history.

OLSEN gallery was established in 1993 and exhibits a broad spectrum of Australian and international art, in the gallery, online, and at art fairs.
Gallery founder and director Tim Olsen has cultivated a stable of artists that presents a comprehensive and poignant view of contemporary art in Australia. With a continually evolving exhibition calendar, the gallery showcases the work of both emerging and established artists. It has nurtured the careers of artists from their first exhibitions following art school and now proudly represents many who are recognised as leading figures in the Australian art scene.
Foremost among the gallery’s artists is the late John Olsen, who is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most esteemed artists. In addition to staging numerous critically acclaimed exhibitions, the gallery has hosted the launch of many books devoted to his distinctive and inventive art practice. Tim Olsen has also negotiated the sale of some of the most significant paintings in John Olsen’s oeuvre to both private and institutional collections. His enthusiasm for curated projects inspired the creation of the dedicated ANNEXE space, located directly behind the main gallery at 74 Queen Street, Woollahra.
With a strong focus on Australian artists, the gallery actively fosters dialogue between Australian art and international peers, with exhibitions of leading contemporary artists from Europe, Asia, and the United States planned for the coming years.
In 2024 OLSEN began a partnership with Brett Ballard called 63Jersey. Brett was the former Head of Art at Menzies Art Brands, Sydney. 63Jersey works closely with clients consulting on collection management and the buying and selling of art in the secondary market.

N.Smith Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in Sydney, Australia, with a global focus. The gallery currently represents more than 20 artists and collectives, offering curatorial, collection, and management service advice to museums, corporate, foundations, and private clients. The gallery has been home to many culturally-significant exhibitions across a variety of media and genres, and has facilitated and participated in projects across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, India, Germany, France, UK, and the USA.
In 2021, Founder & Director N.Smith opened the eponymous gallery on Napier Street, Paddington in a former church community hall. In 2024, during the opening week of the Biennale of Sydney, Smith relocated the gallery from Paddington to the vibrant Surry Hills, expanding the gallery’s footprint and ambitions.
