A Secondary Eye was founded with the aim of developing the secondary market for art and collectibles in Australia. Initially based in Brisbane and now on Queen Street in Woollahra, Sydney, we organise exhibitions alongside our core business of conducting private sales. We specialise in First Nations artists, as well as Australian and international contemporary art.
1301SW was founded in 2022 in Naarm/Melbourne’s inner-south, embracing the region while having strong roots internationally. Extending from its Melbourne base, the gallery expanded its unique and ambitious exhibition program to Gadigal/Sydney with the opening of a second gallery space in late 2024.
STARKWHITE is a contemporary art gallery with galleries in Auckland and Queenstown, New Zealand, specialising in the presentation of interdisciplinary visual art exhibitions with an international focus. Starkwhite is committed to a strong international art fair programme engaging with the best of contemporary practice.
.M Contemporary is a Sydney-based gallery dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists working across painting, drawing, photography, installation, and new media. Since its inception, the gallery has focused on building thoughtful, long-term relationships with artists, fostering practices that are both materially strong and conceptually grounded. Our program reflects a commitment to individuality and authenticity, with an emphasis on artists whose work engages with personal narrative, place, memory, and the social and cultural landscape of contemporary Australia.
Alongside our exhibition program, M Contemporary works closely with collectors to build meaningful and considered collections, offering guidance, context, and access to artists and their processes. We aim to create an environment that is welcoming and accessible, while maintaining a strong curatorial perspective and a high standard of presentation.
The gallery has developed a reputation for identifying and nurturing talent, supporting artists through key early and mid-career milestones, including major prizes, residencies, and institutional opportunities. This focus on advocacy and sustained support sits at the core of our identity.
Beyond the gallery space, our work extends into international engagement through M Curated Tours, which connects collectors with artists, studios, and cultural contexts globally. Together, these initiatives reflect our broader goal: to contribute to a vibrant, connected contemporary art community and to champion artists whose work resonates both locally and internationally.
Established in Melbourne in 2011, with a second space opened in Sydney in 2019, STATION is dedicated to presenting an engaging, conceptually-driven exhibition program, with the aim of fostering rigorous, critically-engaged contemporary art practices. STATION represents a broad stable of established and emerging Australian and international artists. We are committed to bringing Australian contemporary art practices to international audiences and presenting opportunities for our artists to be positioned within a broader global dialogue.
Co-directed by Ursula Sullivan and Joanna Strumpf, the gallery operates a dynamic exhibition program representing over 45 artists and estates across its Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore spaces, as well as its itinerant international programming. Sullivan+Strumpf consults with public and private collections globally, acting in an advisory capacity to international institutions and museums.
With diverse, innovative and progressive programming with currently over 30 exhibitions annually, extensive public talks and publishing, including a bi-monthly magazine, and an expansive global art fair schedule, the gallery has helped foster and grow the careers of some of the most significant contemporary artists in Australia, Southeast Asia and beyond.
