Marnya Rothe

Marnya Rothe is a widely published photographic artist known for her revealing and authentic portraits of artists and performers, alongside her playful feminist photographic works, including the series Cut Out and Women in Uniform. These bodies of work offered a tongue-in-cheek exploration of the male gaze and feminine social roles, forming the basis of her Master of Photography at ECU, Perth.

With over 15 years of experience specialising in portraiture, Marnya has photographed many of Australia’s most recognised artists and performers, with her work appearing in publications internationally.
