One of the most anticipated events on Sydney’s cultural calendar – Opening Night Presented by Glenfiddich. Celebrations transform the fair into an immersive, all-encompassing night of art, music, performance and food.

The Fair kicks off with the Official Opening Night, presented by Glenfiddich, on Thursday, 8 September. Along with access to Sydney Contemporary’s 90+ exhibiting galleries, visitors are treated to an immersive evening of art, music, performance and food.
Presented by Glenfiddich, visual artist Michaela Gleave presents COSMIC TIME, a durational performance taking audiences on a guided journey into the depths of existence while they sample a complimentary Glenfiddich serve. Performances at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm, bookings required.
Leading contemporary artist, Justene Williams will present She predicted the Weather – a new work created specially for Sydney Contemporary, featuring 3 performative boat sculptures in weather-inspired costumes.
Performance contemporary artists WeiZen Ho and Rakini Devi will feature, and DJ Sveta will spin the decks. Visit bespoke bars from partners Campari, Champagne Duperrey, Four Pillars, Glenfiddich and Yalumba Wines, and a number of cafes and restaurants will serve Australian fare and Italian charcutterie platters.
