Experience our immersive “Bringing the Outdoors Indoors” installation, where three distinctive artistic practices come together in a contemplative environment. Encounter Michelle Van Eimeren’s botanical contact prints on silk, created with natural plant pigments and tannins; Talya Brookman’s deeply atmospheric abstract landscapes in oil, inspired by the Australian landscape; and Sophie Lampert’s exquisitely hand-beaded black velvet sculptures, including her Sun Goddess, Moon Goddess and butterfly works.
Each artist will introduce their practice and share the stories, ideas and creative processes behind the works presented at the fair. Discover the inspirations, materials and personal narratives that shape their distinctive artistic voices, followed by an opportunity for audience questions.

Lisa will introduce a selection of handmade artist books; each produced in an edition of five using archival materials and original prints. The talk will explore the Burra books, the longfin eel, and the Water series, considering themes of movement, memory, Country, survival, return, and transformation through print, paper, folding, and binding. It will also highlight how artist books offer an accessible, tactile, and personal way to collect original art.

Brian Robinson will discuss two new series of exquisite prints, ‘Abundance of Country’ and the ‘Stargate’ series. Drawing upon Queensland’s natural flora across the Seven Watersheds, ‘Abundance of Country’ is derived from Robinson’s recently unveiled public artwork, ‘Floriate’, situated outside the new Glasshouse Theatre in Brisbane. Continuing this exploration of realms, ‘Stargate 1-3’ positions cosmologies as portals to ancestral time, posing as an invitation for viewers to stand at the threshold where the sky meets the sea and vast systems of collective memory transmit through iconographies of stars, currents and spirit beings.
