SYDNEY CONTEMPORARY FAIR DINING
Every year at Sydney Contemporary we bring you a Fair Restaurant, as well as pop-up cafes from leading Sydney restaurateurs. In 2015 Longrain and Subcontinental came to the show, in 2017 Billy Kwong, by Kylie Kwong and Kitchen by Mike, by Mike McEnearney delighted everybody's taste buds. 2018 was no exception with made by Merivale creating a cafe and dim sum pop up restaurant.
MERIVALE's WORK IN PROGRESS
made by Merivale presented a pop up of their Work in Progress restaurant and bar, a dim sum restaurant led by revered dumpling master Eric Koh of Mr. Wong and Queen Chow. Whether its some steamed BBQ pork buns or wild mushroom dumplings, Work in Progress had our visitors covered for all days and nights of the fair.
HANDPICKED ART BAR
In 2018, Handpicked Wines and Karen Black brought the official Sydney Contemporary Art Bar. Visitors joined the Art Bar to unwind after a long day and find refuge from the buzz over fine wines in a fully immersive space. Daily wine tastings and art talks were also on offer.
Handpicked Wines is a contemporary Australian fine wine producer that walks its own path. All wines are crafted by award-winning winemaker Peter Dillon, who is based in Mornington Peninsula at Handpicked’s flagship property. Handpicked has an urban cellar door in Kensington St, Chippendale. This is the perfect space for wine education, events and meaningful discussions over wine and cheese with friends. Beluga VODKA BAR
In 2018, Sydney Contemporary housed the luxurious Beluga Vodka bar. Russia’s no.1 premium vodka served a selection of three artisan cocktails including Beluga Tonic Lime, Beluga Lime Rickey and Beluga Lempicka. Visitors enjoyed a delicious Beluga Vodka cocktail whilst perusing the Fair, alternatively, they discussed the art from the comfort of the Beluga bar.
