Ann Shelton’s highly acclaimed newest series of dramatic, large-scale, richly coloured photographic works, contain a hidden narrative of plants used for fertility control.
Shelton, in conversation with McDonald, discusses her ongoing interest in traumatic stories and violence as subjects, the performance of the female body and the complex territory between fact and fiction at play in her photography.
