ART AND ACTIVISM: CAMPAIGNS FOR GENDER EQUITY FROM A MEMBER OF THE ORIGINAL GUERRILLA GIRLS COLLECTIVE AND THE NATIONAL GALLERY OF AUSTRALIA
A SYDNEY CONTEMPORARY EXCLUSIVE – Founding member of the original Guerrilla Girls – Gerda Taro – and the National Gallery of Australia are set to headline the 2019 Talk Contemporary program presented by Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund!
Taro, who is a current member of Guerrilla Girls BroadBand, and played a significant role in the original trailblazing, New York feminist, activist collective and Alison Wright, Assistant Director of the National Gallery of Australia and champion of the #KnowMyName campaign will discuss gender equity and activism in the arts at this exclusive Sydney-only event. This is Gerda Taro’s only live appearance in Australia and we are delighted to welcome her at the Fair.
