This year James Makin Gallery presents a solo exhibition of new paintings and sculpture by Sydney abstractionist Belem Lett and offers a unique opportunity to meet and engage with the artist in conversation at the art fair. Carving a strong name for himself in Australian contemporary art, his paintings and sculptures trace the movement of light and colour through space, artworks which have seen Lett a finalist in a slew of art prizes and awards over recent years and the winner of the Kangaroo Valley Art Prize 2022, Omnia Art Prize 2022, Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award 2019, Brett Whiteley Travelling Scholarship 2010.
