In her presentation Dianne will discuss and show examples of her artist books and folios produced using an evolution of hand-printed text. From hand-burnished Letraset letters to letterpress photopolymer plates, via screenprinting, photoetched zinc and Ludlow metal type. A consummate technician, Dianne has mastered most of the traditional and contemporary printmaking and printing techniques. Viewing Dianne’s artist books and folios we can track a similar diverse trajectory of image creation. It is the combination of text with imagery in her finely crafted artist books that is her significant achievement.
