Ace Hotel Sydney lives in a rejuvenated, hundred-year-old Heritage Federation Warehouse building — home to the first brick kiln in Australia. Inspired by the vibrant neighbourhood, Ace Sydney is a communal space that offers casual, considered accommodations, designed with care by Flack Studio. Drawing inspiration from architect Robin Boyd’s paradigm-shifting book, The Australian Ugliness, the paintings of Indigenous Australian artist Albert Namatjira and the building site’s legacy of pottery and ceramic creation, Flack Studio has conjured a hotel that’s a deep homage to Australia.
